Charity Runners
Please let us know if you are running any races for charity, so that we can promote your fundraising efforts in our Charity Page.
Running Etiquette
Wherever we run — on crowded city sidewalks or on paths shared by runners, walkers and/or bikers — we must be respectful of others and mindful of our personal safety. It is best to run no more than two abreast or, in some cases, single file. When we are running in noisy places, such as over bridge paths alongside traffic, it is especially important to run in this formation so that those who cannot hear the pace group leader can see what they are supposed to do.
Parking
For those of you who drive in from other boroughs (or states!) hoping to snag an on-street parking space, this is a great back-up to have in case there is nothing available - http://nyc.bestparking.com/index.php.
Rideshare
For those interested in sharing a ride to the start of a training run from the outer boroughs/states with other Galloway runners, please sign up for RideBuzz here: http://www.ridebuzz.org

Personal Running Coach
Are you looking for an individualized approach to your running? Maybe you are seeking some extra help to achieve a marathon or half-marathon goal time? If so, you may be interested in a consultation, free of charge, with our De Wittmann, who ran her first marathon more than 15 years ago and has been with Galloway NYC for almost as many seasons, and is a certified running coach. Adding formal training and credentials to her years of experience, De is a highly knowledgeable resource. Coach De, who has left the city for rural environs, is willing to come into town one weekend a month to meet with those interested in personal coaching, with the remaining sessions to be done via e-coaching. De can be contacted by her Email .
